Moss removal and roof cleaning in Tacoma

Moss holds water against the shingles and lifts their edges, and in our climate it comes back every winter. We remove it by hand from the top down, clear the valleys and gutters, and treat the roof so it stays clean longer.

Signs you need this

  • Green or yellow growth along shingle edges
  • Needles and debris packed in valleys
  • Gutters overflowing in steady rain
  • Shady north-facing slopes that never dry

How it goes

  1. Inspection

We check whether the roof is worth maintaining or close to replacement.

  2. Hand removal

Brushes and scrapers, never a pressure washer, which strips granules.

  3. Clear and flush

Valleys, gutters and downspouts cleared and flushed.

  4. Treatment

A treatment applied to slow regrowth, with a reminder for the next visit.

Questions

Will you pressure wash my roof?

No. Pressure washing strips the granules that protect the shingle. We remove moss by hand.

How often should moss be removed?

It depends on shade and trees. Many roofs here need attention every one to two years. We will tell you what we see on yours.
